Delicious Guava Cake

YIELD: 1 - 9x13x2 Cake



Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar

  • 1 cup butter

  • 4 eggs

  • 3 cups flour

  • 3/4 tsp. nutmeg

  • 1 and 1/4 tsp. baking soda

  • 1/4 tsp. ground cloves

  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon

  • 1 cup Hawaii’s Own frozen Guava Nectar or Guava Strawberry concentrate

  •  1/2 cup Hawaii’s Own Guava Nectar (diluted).

  •  1/4 tsp. red food coloring



Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°

  2. Cream sugar and butter until fluffy.

  3. Add eggs one at a time and beat well.

  4. Sift dry ingredients in a separate bowl.

  5. Mix Guava Nectar concentrate and Guava Nectar juice.

  6. Add dry ingredients and liquid alternately to creamy mixture until well blended.

  7. Add red food coloring and stir.

  8. Batter will be very runny.

  9. Pour into greased and floured 9x13x2 inch pan.

  10. Bake for 30 minutes.

  11. Cool and frost with Butter Cream Frosting or Cream Cheese Frosting.



Double ingredients and process for a double layered cake.
