Mango Orange Ice Cream

YIELD: Serves 4



Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 3 egg yolks

  • 3/4 cup half & half

  • 3/4 cup Hawaii's Own Mango Orange concentrate

  • 1/3 cup sugar

  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice

  • 1/4 cup chopped macadamia nuts

A white bowl filled with three scoops of mango ice cream is drizzled with caramel sauce and garnished with chopped nuts. Surrounding the bowl are fresh mango slices, a halved orange, and scattered nuts, all set against a light blue background.


Directions

  1. Combine egg yolks and place in a stainless steel double boiler.

  2. Mix sugar and half & half and boil in medium saucepan.

  3. Slowly and carefully pour hot mixture into the egg yolks, stirring constantly.

  4. Cook mixture slowly, stirring continuously for 3 minutes to form soft custard.

  5. Cool custard mixture.

  6. Stir in the heavy cream, the Mango Orange frozen concentrate, and the macadamia nuts.

  7. Freeze the ice cream mix.
